Tsumugi: | Our play's going to have a lot of fight scenes in it, so it'll be quite different from what we've done so far. But we can't neglect the more subtle scenes that drew people toward the Winter Troupe in the first place. We'll need to pull off both to be successful. I wonder how Tasuku will play Musashi? What kind of movements and expressions will he use to bring the lead role to life...? ...Ahaha. I think I might be more excited about him acting as the lead than he is.

Tsumugi: | Heiroku is a confectioner who specializes in Japanese sweets, so I thought it'd be nice to observe one in real life. When I mentioned it to Azuma, he introduced me to this shop where you can watch how the workers make the sweets. Homare said he was interested too, so the three of us went together. They were so skillful, and it was incredible watching them. They aren't called artisans for nothing. It really felt like I was watching art in motion. Homare was inspired to recite a bunch of sweets-related poetry, too. Of course, we also brought a lot of treats home with us, so please feel free to try some.

Tsumugi: | It's been raining since this morning, and it doesn't look like it's going to let up... Now I think about it, Musashi meets Orin in our play because he was trying to take shelter from the rain. I don't have anything against rain myself. It's rain that allows plants to grow big and strong. Not to mention, listening to the soft pitter-patter of raindrops is pretty relaxing, too. There's nothing better than taking time out of a busy day to drink tea with you while listening to the sound of rain on the windows...It's absolute bliss. It's not just the sound of the rain I like, though. Talking with you and seeing your gentle smile makes me feel like a flower on a rainy day, blessed and happy. I hope being here with me makes you feel just as cozy as I do.
Tsumugi & Muku's Chat | |||
Tsumugi: | Hey, Muku. Are you doing your classic literature homework?
Muku: | Yup! You teach classic literature for your tutoring job, right?
Tsumugi: | Yes, that's right.
Muku: | Classic literature is so exciting and romantic! I love it. Well, it can be a little difficult at times, but... There are so many romance stories! Some of them are really similar to shojo manga, too.
Tsumugi: | Haha, that sounds like something that'd grab your attention.
Muku: | The lines from some traditional poems are so sweet, too! Especially the ones that describe the longing of lovers or the wish to meet even in their dreams... Doesn't that just make your heart race? This poem especially reminds me of the heroine in "Honey Love Letter"! I really relate to the author!
Tsumugi: | When you put it like that, it does make the classics feel a little more personal. Thinking about it that way would certainly make it easier to memorize them. Could you recommend some of your favorite stories and poems to me? I'd like to use them as lesson material.
Muku: | Yes! Of course! | ||
Tsumugi: | Your shojo manga recommendations are always so good. I think I'll try introducing you to some classic literature next time to return the favor.

Tsumugi: | Tasuku's going to be my personal trainer to help me prepare for my role. It's been a while since we went running together, so it was pretty tough to keep up with him... Everyone's been telling me that they're excited to see what kind of PE teacher I'll be playing since the role is so different from how I usually am. Honestly, I can't imagine myself as a PE teacher either... But I'll do my best! I want to have everyone tell me afterwards that I was the perfect person for the role!
Side Tsumugi Tsukioka (2/3)
Tsumugi: | Kumon invited me to play catch with him today. I thought I might get more insight to my character if I could talk to a regular high schooler and give him advice on things. Unfortunately, my throws kept going all over the place, so Kumon ended up being the one helping me and giving me advice instead. Kumon said he invited me to play because he wanted to help me study for my part. But I think he mainly just wanted to play catch together. Next time, I'll take the initiative and invite him for a game! It's a PE teacher's job to enjoy all kinds of exercise, after all!

Tsumugi: | Welcome back, Izumi. Those bags look heavy. Let me carry them for you. Ahaha, don't worry about it. I've been doing some weight training lately, so this'll be a breeze. See? My arms look much firmer than before, right? You think I look really dependable? Hehe, thanks. You can depend on me anytime, so feel free to call for me whenever.
Tsumugi & Itaru's Chat | |||
Itaru: | I'm back. | ||
Tsumugi: | Welcome home, Itaru. You've been coming home late recently. Is work keeping you busy?
Itaru: | Yeah... It's the peak season, so I don't even have the time to glance at my games. My HP is down to 0, too...
Tsumugi: | Oh, dear... That sounds rough. Don't overdo it, okay? You need to be mindful of your health.
Itaru: | Speak for yourself. You're up pretty late today, too. Everything okay on your end?
Tsumugi: | Ahaha... I'm perfectly fine. I was just out doing street acts with Tasuku, and before we knew it, it was already this late.
Itaru: | You two really live up to your title as theater junkies, huh? Eh, anyway, I have the day off tomorrow, so I can finally hole up in my room all day.
Tsumugi: | That sounds like a plan. Make sure you get plenty of rest.
Itaru: | I've got to do some major catching up to reclaim first place in this event... Whoops, I'd better get going. Sleep tight, Tsumugi.
Tsumugi: | So he's just going to game the night away? So much for rest.

Tsumugi: | I've always dreamed of standing on this courtyard stage ever since I saw a performance here many years ago. It was my wish to act alongside everyone, but I never tried to make that a reality. All I ever did was make excuses and avoid trying to change things here. You gave me the push that I needed. And it wasn't just me. You changed very last person here. This place has started to change for the better ever since you arrived. Thanks so much, Izumi. Let's revive this apartment, this courtyard, and everything about this place! Let's turn it back into a spot everyone wants to visit! I know we can do it!
Side Tsumugi Tsukioka (2/3)
Tsumugi: | Tsuzuru and Citron are both comedians and work as the comedy duo 'Citrun'. Tsuzuru is the one who comes up with all their material, so you can frequently find him scribbling away in his notebook in one of the communal areas. It seems like they travel all over the place to put on their shows. Those two are in perfect sync. So much so that even listening in on their regular conversations can be quite amusing. Whenever I'm in the same room as those two, I can't help but eavesdrop on them. The other day, I heard them discussing their new material, and it was just so funny! I wound up bursting into laughter because I couldn't hold it in. Citron heard me and immediately decided they should do a skit about brainstorming new show material. I heard that their audience really enjoyed that sketch! I'm glad I was able to help them out, even if it wasn't on purpose.

Tsumugi: | Today, I taught my flower arrangement class how to make flower accessories. See, this is what we made. I'll let you in on a secret. I actually made it with you in mind. You were the first person that came to my mind when I decided to teach my class how to make these accessories. It was fun thinking about how lovely each color and flower would look on you while I was putting it together. I'd like to give this to you, but would you do me the honor of accepting it, please? ...Thanks. Here, let me put it on you. It really looks great on you. Oh, s-sorry, that just kind of slipped out... ...I'd like to make you some more accessories in the future. You wouldn' mind that... right?
Tsumugi & Sakyo's Chat | |||
Tsumugi: | Hey, Sakyo. Are you okay? You look a little tired.
Sakyo: | We're shorthanded at work, so I've been helping the sales department. But the emotional labor required for customer service is draining as hell. I've just been sucking it up and pretending to be in character the entire day.
Tsumugi: | Oh, dear. No wonder you're tired.
Sakyo: | Your work involves a lot of human interaction, right? You seem like you have no trouble with that.
Tsumugi: | Hm, I guess so. My whole thing is interacting with my students, and I don't really have any problems when I need to talk to others. But you have your own strengths. For one, the way you talk makes you sound very dependable, and you're always so calm and collected. For example, say I was a client who was searching for a new house. How would you sell me on it? Walk me through your pitch.
Sakyo: | Huh? Why the hell should I do that?
Tsumugi: | Just play along with me and think of it as acting practice!
Sakyo: | Ugh... This location gets plenty of natural sunlight and is conveniently located. It's surrounded by many shopping facilities and close to public transport.
Tsumugi: | See? That was excellent. You sounded polite and knowledgeable and, if I were your customer, I'd know I was in safe hands.
Sakyo: | ...I think that just proved how good YOU are at dealing with people. You had me playing right into this conversation.
