Various Vows of Love
Side Homare Arisugawa (1/3)
Homare: I have had my share of photos for magazine columns and book publications.
However, participating in photo shoot as a clothing model is a first for me. I am certain it will be a wonderful experience.
Moreover, it will be held at a chapel with a lovely garden space! Truly, what a sublime location.
Just imagine my still and calm form as I stand against a background of lush greenery... I would be a breathtaking work of art, yes?
Hmm... It would be a waste if the pamphlet is the only place my beautiful pictures could be seen.
Perhaps I should ask them for the data afterwards. I could then create postcards with my visage and poems printed on them.
What a marvelous idea! Once I have finished compiling them, I will be sure to present some to you as well, Izumi.
Side Homare Arisugawa (2/3)
Homare: Tsumugi came across me the other day while I was conducting research on the chapel we shall be going to.
We began talking, and he mentioned that the chapel's garden is famous for its beautiful flowers, and they have even been promoted on television.
He mentioned how excited he is to see our photos since a plethora of lovely flowers must be blooming there at this time of the year.
However, if you were to ask me, our garden's splendor is just as brilliant. Thanks to Tsumugi's efforts, our courtyard is now a glorious place of healing.
It is regrettable that common folk cannot admire our garden, though. Save instances when we have guests, its beauty is privy only to our company members.
'Tsumugi presents the secret garden of Mankai'... That has a nice ring to it, do you not think?
Side Homare Arisugawa (3/3)
Homare: Since you came all this way out here with us, we should have prepared a dress for you too, Izumi.
You would be so beautiful, dazzling, and lovely enrobed in a dress of pure white.
Oh? My flattery is too much, you say? Nonsense. I simply expressed my thoughts as I imagined your form in a wedding dress.
Why, I have an idea. We would be remiss if we did not take advantage of this location and recreate a lovely scene between a groom and bride about to be wed.
My beloved bride, I swear to you here that I shall cherish you eternally.
I will make you happy, Izumi, no matter what. I love you.
How was that? Were you able to experience the fluttering feelings of a bride on her special day?
Homare & Taichi's Talk
Taichi: Homare! You gotta make sure to take lots of pics of everyone to make up for the fact that I won't be at the photo shoot, 'kay? I'm also excited to see your selfies, too!
Homare: By 'selfie', you are referring to a self-portrait taken with one's phone, yes? I have never really taken any... Are there any tricks to ensure a good photo?
Taichi: Hmm... If you ask me, I think the background's super important! And I guess the angle you take it at, maybe? Hey, why don't we just try taking one together now? All we gotta do is switch over to the front-facing camera like this.
Homare: I see. So taking it from an angle above oneself is the most ideal position.
Taichi: It'll look even better if you do a pose like this! Ready? Say 'cheese'!
Homare: Gorgonzola!
Taichi: Whoa, this turned out really good despite being a practice shot! Good job, us! All right! I'm gonna put this up on the 'Blam! Oh, I should DM it to everyone, too!
Homare: Indeed, what charming smiles both you and I have. I shall use this new knowledge to help me take good selfies on the day of the shoot.
Taichi: If you get some good ones, make sure to DM 'em to me! I'll be standing by on my phone!
Die by the Sword
Side Homare Arisugawa (1/3)
Homare: During our second play, we discussed how I might be better suited to playing a master than a servant, and I suppose my time has finally come.
I will need to polish my mannerisms so that I may portray a picture-perfect young master of a kimono shop.
And then there is the matter of the forbidden love between my character, Tojiro, and Azuma's character, Orin.
Unrequited yet requited love, a romance cleft in twain by social standing... A looming crosshairs on Tojiro's life... Oh, what will come of their love?
I cannot wait to convey a love story that shall move the audience to their very core!
Please, do not fret. I shall always have a tissue at hand should you happen to be moved to tears.
Hm, perhaps not a tissue. I must prepare a traditional hand towel with a most refined pattern instead. That would be much more becoming of a young master!
Side Homare Arisugawa (2/3)
Homare: I must have mentioned this before, bu I am rather particular about my hairstyle. I have not changed my look since my student days.
However, I suppose it is a bit too modern for a play set in the past, so I shall be wearing a wig this time around!
Azami suggested and tested a few different styles on me. He is truly talented with both hair styling and makeup.
I was astounded by the stranger in the mirror by the time he was done. It was as if I had become a different person entirely under his skillful styling.
Ah, but it must surely be a crime against nature to look good in every conceivable hairstyle...Oh, what a wicked man I am...
There is no doubt the audience will find themselves stunned and utterly captivated by me when they lay their gaze upon my look!
Side Homare Arisugawa (3/3)
Homare: You would look lovely in Orin's kimono, but I imagine a kimono with brighter patterns like the ones young women in old Edo used to wear would suit you as well.
You would be perfect as the greeter at a teahouse. Any store with your bright smile there to greet customers would certainly have excellent business.
Were I a wandering poet, I would most certainly stop by your shop to sample tea served by you. Then I would sit back and compose poetry as I enjoyed my drink.
No doubt your ever-constant and warm smile would fill me with poetic passion and inspiration!
Hmm... Drinking tea and composing poems while enjoying your company...
No matter the world or era we live in, I suppose it would not change how precious and delightful the time I get to spend with you is.
Homare & Kumon's Chat
Kumon: Homare, you use a pocket watch to tell the time? That's so cool!
Homare: Ah, yes, this is Christine.
Kumon: Oh, you gave your watch a name?
Homare: A name helps you form an attachment to the important things in life. And through that attachment flows one's inspired poems and stories!
Kumon: I think I know what you mean...
Homare: Wonderful! I knew you were also a devotee to the arts. I can tell you have the heart of a poet. I know! How about I name some of your belongings for you?
Kumon: Wow, really?! I'd love that! I just took this jacket out of the dryer! Can you name it?
Homare: Hm... How about we call it 'Felix Jules Etienne'?
Kumon: Felix...That. Is. The. COOLEST! It makes it sound like only those handpicked by the gods are allowed to wear this jacket!
Homare: I am glad you like it. I shall draft a proper name certificate for you later. Of course, it will be signed by yours truly.
Kumon: Whoa, thanks! A signed certificate... This is starting to feel really official! Felix, a robe granted its name by a renowned wizard known for his mastery of the written word, in actuality conceals a most frightening power... Wow, that really did get my inspiration flowing! Now I know exactly what kinda character I want to play next time Itaru and I do a street act!
