Side Hyodo Juza (1/3) | |||
Juza: | I awaited to take up this role for so long. It's an important leading role. But, I'll never become Settsu's partner for real...... However I came here prepared for it, to play Lansky. Fortunately, I have a younger brother who has much in common with me. So let me gradually make it my own role. Watch me for a long time. I'm counting on you, Director. | ||
Side Hyodo Juza (2/3) | |||
Juza: | After growing up like this it's only naturally that we became distant. The truth is I think I can talk with Muku even more now. I'm able to talk with him about plays and we grow closer. So, I'm happy. Thanks for that Director. | ||
Side Hyodo Juza (3/3) | |||
Juza: | …I'm home. Ah, that's from the supermarket, let me unpack the bag... I didn't bought anything important. It's really easy though. Drinks, chewing gum, and...Anmitsu. Recently our supermarket has this sweet one, it's really delicious. Our local supermarket here is really good. I wanted to eat so much I bought 2 for 1. So here, but keep it a secret from the others. | ||
Juza & Hisoka Talk | |||
Hisoka: | Munch munch... | ||
Juza: | ... | ||
Hisoka: | Marshmallow, you want one? | ||
Juza: | ---! | ||
Hisoka: | ... You've been watching me for awhile now, with sparkling eyes. | ||
Juza: | No, not rea- | ||
Hisoka: | ... Here. Have one. | ||
Juza: | Eh? | ||
Hisoka: | ... You don't wanna? | ||
Juza: | ... Thanks for the food. |
Conquering Misoshiosa Island! | |||
---|---|---|---|
Side Hyodo Juza (1/3) | |||
Juza: | This fruit's real sweet 'n tasty. Can't believe these started off by growin' on those trees... Nature sure is amazing. You like it, too? Good. ...Yeah, let's pick more and bring 'em back so the others can try 'em, too. | ||
Side Hyodo Juza (2/3) | |||
Juza: | Jumon challenged Settsu to a fishing battle...? That kid keeps makin' messes for himself... Nothin' bad happened...? Good. It would've been bad if he slipped and fell into the water or something Sorry you had to deal with that. Lemme know right away if Kumon causes any more trouble. It's my job as his older bro to put him back in his place. | ||
Side Hyodo Juza (3/3) | |||
Juza: | Hm? Hey, Izumi. I came here 'cause I smelled somethin' sweet, but it turned out to be some flowers, not fruit. They're real pretty and all, but I can't eat 'em so I don't really need 'em... Oh, I wonder if they'll stay up in your hair...There. I knew they'd look good on you. Just had a feelin' they would. | ||
Juza & Kazunari Chat | |||
Kazunari: | Aww, there's zero reception here... I can't upload anything on Instablam! This is, like, the worst! | ||
Juza: | Nothin' we can do about it on a deserted island. | ||
Kazunari: | I already took so many pics, though! If I were able to post them all up, I'd be flooded with tons of likes by now. | ||
Juza: | Flooded, huh...? Speaking of floods, that old fisherman said it storms a lot here, huh? | ||
Kazunari: | Yeah, he did! I bet a storm on this island would look like something straight out of a movie! Wouldn't it be hella exciting to have to escpe from the island on a raft?! We should start building one now, just in case! | ||
Juza: | 'Kay. We should start lookin' for some wood, then. | ||
Kazunari: | I knew I could count on you to jump on board, Hyodle! Oh, I know! We should name our raft the S.S. Hyodle in your honor after we finish building it! Wouldn't that be so lit?! | ||
Juza: | ...Anything' but that, please. |
Fiery Mantou Fist! | |||
---|---|---|---|
Side Hyodo Juza (1/3) | |||
Juza: | So...we're doin' a comedy. If I'm being honest, I'm a little worried. I don't really make people laugh. Ever. 'Specially with a face like this. I wanna get good at that kinda actin', though. I just gotta study hard. I'll start by sittin' in on the Summer Troupe's rehearsals. And we got kung fu an' stuff to learn, so I gotta work on that, too. There's a lot to think about and do... I'm not gonna give up, though. I'm countin' on you to teach me to do comedy, Izumi. | ||
Side Hyodo Juza (2/3) | |||
Juza: | When I came home from school today, Muku an' Kumon were helpin' Omi make dumplings. Apparently, they got a whole buncha ingredients 'cause we always run out before everybody can get seconds. I jumped in to help, too. Sittin' there at the table foldin' dumplings reminded me of back when I was a kid, helpin' Mom in the kitchen with Kumon. Sakuya and Kazunari started helpin' out when they got home too, so just be ready. There's gonna be a giant mountain of gyoza for dinner tonight. Mine ain't pretty, but you don't gotta worry about their taste since Omi's the one who made the filling. Just ignore how they look. | ||
Side Hyodo Juza (3/3) | |||
Juza: | Taichi was sayin' earlier that if you were gonna come up with a secret technique, it'd be the Curry Fist. You're good at explainin' things, so I think you'd make a good teacher. Actually, s'not just the way you explain stuff. You praise us a lot and give us a push when we need one, and you're always teachin' us new stuff. If I were an apprentice...I think I'd wanna be yours. I mean, we're all basically your apprentices, anyway. Uh, just to be clear, I'm serious that I'd wanna be your apprentice, but I'm talkin' about acting. I don't wanna learn the Curry Fist technique... | ||
Juza & Itaru Chat | |||
Itaru: | I heard you're playing the final boss character in your upcoming play. Is that right? | ||
Juza: | Yeah. | ||
Itaru: | Damn, that's so legit. You're practically gonna be a character in a fighting game, what with the whole 'final boss who's a kung fu master' thing and all. As long as you've got the role, you should come up with a few lines a super, ultra-powerful kung fu master would say. And maybe a few cool poses. | ||
Juza: | Lines an' poses? Like what? | ||
Itaru: | Oh, you know, like... Dragon of old who resides within me! Show this fool the meaning of true power! Secret technique! Flying Dragon, Hidden Flame! | ||
Juza: | O...kay? | ||
Itaru: | What, you don't think that was the most badass thing ever? | ||
Juza: | ...Not really. | ||
Itaru: | I can't believe it! You don't have a nerdy bone in your body. I swear. I can't believe you and Kumon are related. | ||
Juza: | I didn't really get what you were doin', but it did sound pretty intense. | ||
Itaru: | Right? I bet doing something like that'd help you give off that 'final boss' vibe in the show. Why don't you try doing it, too? | ||
Juza: | ...I'll give it a shot. | ||
Itaru: | Let me know when you've thought up a good technique name and pose. I'll give you some commands for a fighting game to cue you in. | ||
Juza: | O...okay? |
The Moon and the Rabbit | |||
---|---|---|---|
Side Hyodo Juza (1/3) | |||
Juza: | We've done street acts an' shows in all kinds of places, but I've never performed at a shrine before... I'm kinda nervous about takin' part in such an important ceremony. I'm gonna give it my all, though. We'll be wearin' traditional clothes this time, so I gotta practice moving around in 'em for our fight scenes. Kumon had to practice movin' around in a kimono for his ninja play too, and I ain't plannin' on falling behind. | ||
Side Hyodo Juza (2/3) | |||
Juza: | Kazunari an' I handed out flyers for the festival today. We were only goin' to hand 'em out in front of the station at first... But Kazunari said that it'd be better to pass 'em out to people at a bunch of different places since it's a festival for the shrine. That guy really understands people. He said we should go to trendy stores to find kids our age, then we went to a shoppin' center the next town over to give flyers to the elderly. He also said if we want kids to come, we should give the flyers to the parents goin' grocery shoppin' with their family. He's really something else... He managed to do all that while smilin' and chattin' with everyone. I'm sure there'll be people who'll come to see the play just 'cause he was so friendly. It sure helped out while we were handin' out flyers, but I still wish he was a little quieter in the dorm... | ||
Side Hyodo Juza (3/3) | |||
Juza: | I used to be real curious about why the moon'd get all skinny and round all the time when I was a li'l kid. I was especially interested in the full moon and liked to stare at it a lot. It must've been 'cause of some story I heard once, but... I used to think that the full moon looked like a delicious dango, so maybe the reason it'd get smaller was 'cause someone was nibblin' at it. ...Don't laugh. I was really young when I thought that. I never told anyone 'bout that before, but I feel like I can tell you anythin' and everythin'. Maybe 'cause you're the only one who'd happily listen to a guy like me tell a silly story like that. | ||
Juza & Citron Chat | |||
Citron: | I heard that in Japan, people see a rabbit on the moon powdering mochi! That is truly what it looks like! | ||
Juza: | You mean 'pounding mochi'? | ||
Citron: | Yes, the rabbit pounding away with a little hammer to make delicious mochi is so cute! Perhpas they are making very sweet mochi! | ||
Juza: | Sweet mochi... | ||
Citron: | But did you know that other countries have similar stories? | ||
Juza: | Really? | ||
Citron: | Some talk about a woman, a frog, a donkey, or even a lion on the moon! | ||
Juza: | Interestin'. | ||
Citron: | In Zafra we believe in a cheerful dragon that lives on the moon and is making happy and spicy foods. | ||
Juza: | It's a... cheerful dragon? | ||
Citron: | We sell many foods based on this tale! They have become some of our best-selling souvenirs, in fact. We have dishes called the 'Moon Dragon's Dancing Flamin' Assorted Nuts' and 'Moon Dragon's Fiery Pasta'. Oh! And we also have the Moon Dragon's range of 'Exciting Microwaveable Meals' and 'Exhilaratingly Spicy Moon Dragon Liquor' and also- | ||
Juza: | ...I think I like the mochi-makin' rabbit story more. |
